XREAL AURA Is Here: Meet Seven Made With Unity Titles
Leah Martin - Unity Technologies
Product Marketing Manager, XR

Hey there developers,
XREAL AURA has officially launched! It’s the first pair of wired XR glasses powered by Android XR, and it brings immersive gaming, mixed reality, and everyday utility into a lightweight form factor you can take anywhere.
When we announced Unity’s support for XREAL AURA back in June, we couldn’t wait to see what you’d build. Read on to meet seven Made With Unity titles launching on XREAL AURA, and hear from the studios behind them.
There’s more on the way, too. With Unity 6.7 and Unity 7 on the horizon, we’re continuing to invest in tools that make building for Android XR faster and easier. Get the full rundown of the latest Android XR features in our newest Discussions post.
New to XREAL AURA? Start building today
Whether you’re starting a new project or porting an existing XR game or app, here’s how to get up and running. Need some inspiration first? Our announcement blog and XREAL AURA livestream cover everything you can create for XREAL AURA, from tabletop AR to fully immersive games and productivity apps.
Here’s what we recommend to get started:
- Get started with Unity 6.6 for the latest Android XR features and updates. Then, move to 6.7 LTS once it ships.
- Start with the dedicated Android XR Build Profile, which comes preconfigured so you can skip the setup and get straight to building.
- Install the latest OpenXR: Android XR package (version 1.5).
- Adopt open standards like OpenXR and Vulkan for smooth porting and strong performance.
- Build natural, hands-first interactions with the XR Interaction Toolkit (3.5.1+) and XR Hands (1.9.0+).
- Install AR Foundation (6.2.0 or newer) and the OpenXR Plugin (1.18+).
- Go deeper with our Android XR documentation and check out Google’s Android XR developer documentation to explore the tools, workflows, and features available to you.
Meet the launch titles
Now for the fun part. Meet the studios that used Unity to launch on XREAL AURA day one, whether with brand-new games or existing ones brought over. Read on to see what they made and how it went, and stick around to the end for a peek at upcoming titles.
Hyper Visor by Owlchemy Labs
Owlchemy Labs’ Hyper Visor is an XR arcade experience that transforms your everyday surroundings into a reality-bending playground, where players use intuitive hand interactions to blast targets, battle bosses, and repair fractured realities. Andrew Eiche, CEO of Owlchemy Labs, explained how using Unity made it come to life: “Unity’s multiple physics scenes, URP, and OpenXR support were instrumental in bringing the experience to life. One of our biggest time-savers was Unity’s prefab workflow, which, combined with our custom level-scripting system, allowed us to rapidly iterate on gameplay without lengthy recompilation cycles.”

Demeo by Resolution Games
Demeo is a cooperative tabletop dungeon-crawling RPG that runs on multiple platforms. It is now available on XREAL AURA. The team at Resolution Games said Unity’s cross-platform support made the port easier: “Bringing Demeo to XREAL AURA was a surprisingly smooth experience because Unity’s cross-platform XR foundation, built on OpenXR, has matured so much. The reusable components we maintain through UPM carry across headsets, and moving Demeo to URP gave us the mixed reality support we needed. For us, the tool that saves the most time is Unity’s cross-platform support, because it means we aren’t rebuilding for every new device.”

Real VR Fishing by Devs United Games
Real VR Fishing is a virtual reality fishing simulation game created by Devs United Games. The studio brought the title to XREAL AURA using Unity’s OpenXR support, which the team credited with making the port to the new device more efficient: “Unity’s OpenXR support was the biggest time-saver when bringing Real VR Fishing to XREAL AURA. Its excellent cross-platform compatibility allowed us to port our existing development build with virtually no additional development effort. We were able to reuse our existing gameplay and XR systems with minimal modifications, significantly reducing platform-specific work and allowing us to focus on optimization and polish.”

Forever Pets: Zen Cats by VIRTUAL BEINGS
Forever Pets: Zen Cats lets players bond with virtual feline companions on XREAL AURA. VIRTUAL BEINGS used Unity CLI to bring AI coding agents into its Unity workflow and speed up development. Wendelin Reich, CEO-CTO of VIRTUAL BEINGS, shares:
“Unity CLI has been a real time saver, letting us bring Claude Code and OpenAI Codex closer into our Unity workflow. Our coding agents can now make changes and check their work in the Editor, which makes trying new ideas much faster. We’re also enthusiastic users of Unity’s Inference Engine to develop ever more unique, personalised pet interactions. There’s a lot more we’re excited to build with it.”

Enigmo by Foretell Games
Foretell Games has some exciting titles coming to XREAL AURA. Enigmo is already available, and SwarmFleet, a real-time strategy and wargame, is coming soon - scroll down below to see the trailer. Alexey Menshikov of Foretell Games explains why they built with Unity: “Unity’s cross-platform pipeline let us take Enigmo and SwarmFleet from a single codebase to current or future VR platforms we target, and its accessible, intuitive tooling meant our small team could move fast without fighting the engine.”

Coming soon to XREAL AURA:
Fallout: Factions by Mirrorscape
Fallout: Factions is a fast-paced two-player miniatures skirmish game set in Nuka-World. Each player commands a raider crew and uses gesture controls to move into position and engage in ranged or melee combat. Players win by eliminating the enemy crew from the battlefield or by scoring points as enemy crew members are eliminated or flee. Grant Anderson, CEO of Mirrorscape, credits Unity’s XR tools with helping bring it to life:
“AR Foundation and XR Interaction Toolkit really stood out in terms of being able to quickly and easily implement input gestures while bringing over our foundational AR architecture from mobile platforms.”
